LifeGroups

You were designed to live in community

Our Life Groups have one purpose – to bring people together so they experience the fullness of life just the way God intended.

Gather

In a LifeGroup, you’ll gather with others. When you do, you’ll find that your group quickly becomes a place where others don’t just know your name…they care about what is happening in your life and offer support for you in your spiritual journey.

Grow

You’ll grow closer to God and learn more about how to follow Jesus alongside others who have the same kind of struggles as you.
I

Go

When all of that happens, you’ll want to go into your community and to others around you and share the Good News and love of Jesus!

LifeGroup FAQs

What is a LifeGroup?

A life Group is 10-14 people who meet weekly in a home or at our church. It is an opportunity to connect with people relationally and have a safe place to grow spiritually.

When do LifeGroups start?

New LifeGroups launch in January and August, with signups the month before.

Who are LifeGroups for?

LifeGroups are for anyone who wants to connect with others relationally and grow spiritually. The groups are perfect for any age, life-stage, or marital status. They are wonderful for those who are pre-faith, new in their faith, or established in their faith. We have much to learn from each generation, and stage in life/faith.

What happens in a LifeGroup?

Each LifeGroup meets for an hour to an hour-and-a-half for fellowship, spiritual conversations, and prayer time. Their conversations are Bible-based and sermon-inspired leading to life application.

What is studied in a LifeGroup

The basis for LifeGroup conversations are sermon-inspired questions. These questions are based on the scripture(s) discussed in the Sunday morning sermon. This allows us to take what was presented on Sunday and go deeper in reflection and application. There is no homework for a LifeGroup. Discussion questions will be posted each Saturday at noon on the YouVersion Bible app.  You can download this app in your phone’s particular app store for free.

What is the time frame?

LifeGroups are designed to meet year-round with breaks as determined by the group. Most will take a break in December and in the Spring, and will meet less often in the Summer. The typical lifespan of a group is 12-24 months with each group sending out a new leader or portion of the groups so that more people are able to connect in new groups.

What if I miss a Sunday sermon?

You still attend your group! You’re encouraged to watch the sermon on the Nampa First YouTube channel, but the group discussion questions are not just based on the sermon, rather the scriptures surrounding it, so you’ll still have the opportunity to contribute to the conversation.

What about childcare?

Each family procures and pays for their own childcare. Members may submit a reimbursement form for the week(s) they are attending their LifeGroup. The form will be submitted monthly. There is an agreement that each family will sign agreeing to the childcare/reimbursement policy.

Childcare

Out of a desire to remove as many obstacles to participation in a LifeGroup for those with young children to care for as we can, the Nampa First LifeGroups Council has provided a process whereby parents/guardians may secure their own childcare and request limited reimbursement from the church. Please read the Childcare Reimbursement Info page below and follow the steps through the reimbursement process.
