Prayer Ministry
There is always alot going on in life and sometimes you just need someone to pray for you.
Mission: Our mission is to enrich a culture of prayer as we partner with God to unleash His kingdom through the power of the Holy Spirit in our own individual lives, in the church, and in Nampa for all generations.
Prayer Chain: Our Prayer Chain members receive a weekly update of the prayer requests that our congregation and the Nampa community give to our office or pastors. If there are urgent prayer needs, members are notified immediately and asked to pray. If you would like to be included on the Prayer Chain to receive weekly emails on prayer needs, please text “prayerpartner” (all one word) to 208-274-4636.
Prayer Meetings: We have two prayer meetings on Wednesdays that meet to pray for the needs of our congregation and the needs of our community. It is a time of bringing those needs to the group and praying together for the Lord to meet those needs. The Wednesday noon group meets in the Conference room (go to the church office to be directed to the conference room); the Wednesday evening group meets at 6:30 in WC4 (Worship Center, room 4).
Retired Clergy: Retired clergy, you are invited to join us for prayer and fellowship on the second Tuesday of each month at 10 am in the exterior conference room in the Ministry Center.
Prayer Walks/Prayer Gatherings: Several times throughout the year we gather on a Saturday morning for a special time of prayer for our community. Depending on the weather, we may walk the streets around our church praying for the neighborhood and individuals, or we may stay inside in the Forum (Lower level of the Ministry Center Building) to pray together or to pray at various individual stations. Announcements in the bulletin will give updates as to our next scheduled prayer gathering.
Prayer Classes: Classes on prayer are given during the Wednesday evening class time, 6:30 – 7:45pm.
Prayer Booklets: The Prayer Ministry Team has developed two prayer booklets with two weeks of daily prayers. The first one focuses on Nampa, praying for the various aspects and needs of our community. The second one focuses on our pastoral, administrative, and board leaders. Each person’s ministry needs are described for in depth prayers for their ministries and outreach. If you would like a copy of these booklets, please click HERE and HERE.
Prayer Room: A prayer room is available for individual or group prayer. It is a comfortable, quiet space to gather for prayer and meditating on God’s word. It is open when the office is open from 9 to 5 Monday through Thursday and during our services. Just go to the front office or find a pastor/staff member and they will direct you to the prayer room.
Prayer Journals/Trackers: The Prayer Ministry Team has available prayer journals. These are journals to write down prayer requests and to write down the answers received for those requests. If you would like one of your own to track prayer requests, please let the office or one of the Prayer Ministry Team members know.
